Since the 12th century, this building has had an extraordinary history and its name is no stranger to this.

As early as the 12th century, this building was dependent on the powerful priory of Saint George. The expression "Bajole" comes either from Bayulus, which referred to a royal justice officer, or from Bezola, the name of a ventier of the priory, an important tax collector.
