Founded in 1731 in the heart of one of the most precious terroirs in the world, Bouchard Père & Fils has been working for nearly 3 centuries to cultivate, preserve and pass on the soul of Burgundy. The estate's almost 60 hectares of vines form an exceptional winegrowing heritage, spread mainly over the finages of Beaune, Volnay, Monthelie, Pommard and Meursault. The vineyard management and winemaking, carried out plot by plot, are both art and craft: listening and observation are paramount, with each decision allowing the terroir to express itself with precision and naturalness.
Since 2009, Bouchard Père & Fils has been committed to environmentally-friendly viticulture. The 2025 vintage will be the first to be certified organic. Following its merger with Artémis Domaines at the end of 2022, the estate is now run by Frédéric Engerer and managed locally by Emmanuel Dumont, Managing Director, and Mickaël Baroin, Technical Director. The négoce has been completely abandoned in favour of the estate's vineyards, and the estate has benefited from a number of recent technical improvements.
Keen to reveal the potential of the estate's magnificent terroirs and to work with the utmost respect for the environment, the team pursues its quest for excellence and precision day after day with the same passion.
