After a rich programme of temporary exhibitions, the Musée des Beaux-arts is now putting the spotlight on its permanent collections, inviting visitors to (re)discover the masterpieces. Alongside the museum's most iconic works, the exhibition will feature a number of new pieces, recently acquired, restored or rarely shown to the public.

Not to be missed: the archaeological remains of the Pays beaunois, paintings from the Flemish and Dutch schools of the XVIᵉ and XVIIᵉ centuries, French art of the XVIIIᵉ century, not forgetting La Mansarde by Hippolyte Michaud (1865).
The tour ends with a real invitation to travel, through the works of Félix Ziem and those of other 19thᵉ century artists fascinated by the Orient, such as Beaune artists Édouard Darviot and Félix-Jules Naigeon. The play of light, vibrant colours and distant horizons offer a breathtaking conclusion to this plunge into the history of art.
