    The future Panoptique d’Autun – Rolin Museum will showcase Autun’s rich history, displaying its collections from Antiquity to the 19th century. It will be centred around the circular prison, the starting point of the tour.
    The prison will be showcased and explained to visitors. At the top, it will feature a panoramic viewing floor offering a unique perspective on the city’s landscape.

    The future Panoptique d’Autun – Rolin Museum will showcase Autun’s rich history, displaying its collections from Antiquity to the 19th century. It will be centred around the circular prison, the starting point of the tour.
    The prison will be showcased and explained to visitors. At the top, it will feature a panoramic viewing floor offering a unique perspective on the city’s landscape.
    The top floor of the prison will house an architecture and heritage interpretation centre, explaining the history and development of the town to visitors.
    The rest of the tour will offer visitors the chance to rediscover the collections of European paintings from the 15th to the 20th century, including works by the great Romantic and historical painters, the Nabis collection—featuring works by Maurice Denis—and the major artists of the Frénaud collection, such as Dubuffet and Miró.
    A tea room and a new shop will welcome visitors and residents of Autun alike.
