Circuit de Pierre Luzière

Follow the tarmac road up to the junction on the plateau, then turn left.

Just after the farmyard, turn left and start downhill.
You will reach the bottom of the Pont du Roi river valley.
Cross the river by the footbridge, then follow the path.

You soon come to a wider path: turn right.
On the plateau, at a large wooded area, turn right and continue along a path that descends gently to a ford that is easy to cross.

Continue straight ahead.
After about 120 m, turn left up a steep incline about 30 m long, marking the start of a woodland path.
At the end of this path, turn right onto a carriage road, which you should follow for around a hundred metres.

Turn left to quickly reach the Chapelle de Repas.
Continue past the chapel to the tarmac road, then turn left.
At the next junction, turn left again to enter the Pierre Luzière state forest.
Follow this road for a long distance (around 1,800 m).

At the last bend before the long final straight, turn left at an angle onto a barely-marked path.
At the end of the path, turn left, then right after about thirty metres.
This path passes near the old Les Echards forest house and joins a gravelled carriageway.

At the fork, fork left to follow the valley of the Charbonnière stream.
At the low point, the path begins to climb to the left, leaving the banks of the stream.
On the flat area, fork right: this takes you back to the route you followed on the outward journey, but in the opposite direction...
