Circuit de La Chapelle de Repas

Initial ascent to the plateau :
Follow the tarmac road up to the junction on the plateau, then turn left.
Just after the farmyard, turn left and begin the descent.

Vallon du Pont du Roi :
Reach the bottom of the Pont du Roi river valley.
Cross the river by the footbridge, then follow the path.
Join a larger track: turn right.
50 m further on, at the fork in the road, turn sharp right.

Gué de Pierre Luzière > Plateau :
Descend to the ford of the Pierre Luzière stream.
Begin the climb: a large left-hand bend, a steep slope and then a gentle slope as you reach the plateau.
The path leads to the first houses, where the road becomes tarmac.

Towards the RD298 :
Turn right after this group of houses to join another tarmac track, then fork left.
After 300 m, you will come to the RD298 (route d'Auxy à Bas de Canada).
Follow this road to the right for 1 km.
At the start of the descent, near an electricity pole, turn left onto an inconspicuous path leading to the circular wash-house.

Lavoir > Petite route forestière :
Continue uphill past the washhouse to the flat.
When you reach a small road, turn right.
Enter the forest, keeping parallel to the edge.

Towards the Chapelle de Repas :
Turn left at 90°, follow a grassy path and then a carriage road to the main road.
Turn left.
After around 100 metres, near the pond, turn right onto the tarmac road.
At the entrance to the forest, turn left, then right towards the Chapelle de Repas.
Continue along the grassy track until you reach a gravel path, then turn right.
Walk for around 100 metres and turn left into a forest path.
Follow this to a short descent.

Return via the ford and the wood square:
120 m further on, cross the ford of the Pierre Luzière stream.
At the wood square, fork left.
Follow the forest track as it slowly descends the valley.

Last forks > Footbridge :
At the signposted junction, turn slightly left.
At the next junction, turn slightly right.
Walk for 50 m, then descend to the left along a path leading to the footbridge over the river.

Return to the starting point:
Go back up the path taken on the outward journey.
Turn right twice onto the tarmac road.
Return to the starting point.
