The Bibracte Museum (Morvan, Burgundy) will be honoured to welcome Eugène Savitzkaya for a unique artistic and literary performance, inspired by the richness of the Bibracte museum and site.

Winner of the Jacques Lacarrière literary prize in 2024, Eugène Savitzkaya has spent several immersive periods at Bibracte. During his most recent visit in November 2025, the artist took up residence in the heart of the museum, where he created a work on a large roll of white paper, tracing mysterious signs for several days before leaving the site with a well-kept secret: a carefully rolled sheet of paper.

In this reading-performance, Eugène Savitzkaya will introduce us to the texts he wrote in connection with the Bibracte archaeological site. The content of this work remains a mystery, but it is undeniably rooted in the very essence of the places that inspired him.

We invite you to take part in this exceptional event and enjoy an immersive experience, where the unexpected will have pride of place, in the museum space and in the author's world.

The ephemeral nature and intensity of performance art transcend the boundaries of artistic disciplines. This will be an opportunity to experience the immediate impact of an artistic intervention, marked by its lightning speed.
