Journée sans voiture

The Collectif Mobilité Autunois Morvan, a newly formed citizens’ group, is organising a day dedicated to sustainable and inclusive mobility.

Along the route between Autun railway station and the Place du Champ de Mars, cars will be banned for the day to make way for other modes of transport.
We’re also making the most of Heritage Days to promote more sustainable tourism.

On the programme:

11.00 am: opening of the day with local councillors

1.30 pm–3.00 pm: VELORUTION = a group cycle ride through the streets of Autun (bicycles are available to borrow). DO COME ALONG in large numbers to show that there are plenty of cyclists in Autun!

10.00 am – 6.00 pm: a range of stalls:
- Wheelchair obstacle course on the Terrasse de l’Europe
- Demonstration of ‘intermediate’ vehicles (what are they?) on Rue de la Grille
- Bike repair workshop
- Bikes available to borrow for a sightseeing tour of Autun
- Awareness-raising and collecting people’s views on mobility
- Screen-printing of T-shirts featuring the collective’s logo at La Bricole
- Fast food (pizza) and coffee provided by La Bricole
- Refreshment stand (drinks and cakes)
- Other stalls run by organisations and local authorities to be confirmed: Ca Roule (CCGAM), etc.
