Guédelon Express

Departing from Le Creusot, Étang-sur-Arroux, Luzy, Cercy-la-Tour, Decize and Nevers stations, travel back in time and board the "Guédelon Express", bound for Guédelon Castle and its timeless construction site. Prices include the train journey, the bus and admission to the castle.

Come and spend a day out of time on the Guédelon construction site, where you can watch stonecutters, carpenters, blacksmiths and potters at work as they were in the Middle Ages. Take part in fun workshops (stone-cutting, medieval trades) and explore the towers, courtyard and various workstations on the site.
When you arrive at Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire station, a bus will be waiting to take you directly to the medieval Guédelon castle site. The train journey will be powered by the legendary CC 72064 locomotive, an impressive diesel locomotive from the famous CC 72000 series. Powerful and emblematic of the French main lines of the 1960s-1980s, it will take you on an authentic rail journey.
