Born and bred in Autun, I've been taking photographs since I was given a camera at the age of 12.
I began my training as a photographer with the help of my parents, then by reading numerous specialist books and visiting photographic exhibitions.
As well as family and children's photos, I have always focused on nature through landscapes, especially mountains, and close-up photography (macro-photography).
As a retired Auxerre resident from 1991 to 2017 inclusive, I played an active role for several years (2010-2017), under the aegis of the local LPO, in protecting the hen harrier and St Martin en Forterre in the Yonne. On this occasion, I
decided to turn my attention to wildlife photography, equipping myself with the right equipment (powerful telephoto lenses and dedicated cameras).
Since moving back to Le Breuil, I've been pursuing my interest in wildlife photography, both in France (Camargue, Brenne, Atlantic coast, Baie de Somme, etc.) and in the Nordic countries that I'm particularly fond of (Shetland Islands, Lofoten Islands, Finland and Norway).
The photographs of seabirds on display at the Résidence St Antoine in Autun were taken in the Shetland Islands and on the Varanger peninsula in Norway.
