Concert ZAJTRK

Zajtrk (which means ‘breakfast’ in Slovenian) is a Slovenian duo of ethnic singer-songwriters who write incisive and socially conscious lyrics in Slovenian. The group consists of Laura Kranjnc (violin, vocals, tambourine) and Sven Horvat (guitar, vocals).
Zajtrk draws inspiration from fairy tales, stories, amusing anecdotes, theatre and other flights of fancy, which they weave into their musical creations.
Their performances always have a theatrical flair.
Musically, Zajtrk fuses folk and ethnic sounds with punk, cabaret, jazz, blues and pop to create an alternative and original style.
The band is committed to preserving the Slovenian language in their lyrics, fostering a spirit of social criticism and light-heartedness, defending their artistic autonomy, spreading good cheer and incorporating folk elements into their music.
Their songs explore the human experience in all its complexity: its comical, rebellious, confusing, tragic, melancholic and joyful aspects.
