When birds sing, they also tell the story of their community. A duet of birds in which there is talk of an influential nightingale, of a one-way ticket that's not exactly fun, of blossoming feminists and their worldly friends, of Tino Rossi, Anne Sylvestre and the others, of water thieves and Yankees. We'll learn that we're all the children of immigrants, that Pepita's camera would do well to see what the Chickadees have to say, and that the patriarchy won't fall by itself.
