Each wine-growing area in this region is known by the Burgundian term "climat", with some bearing prestigious names such as Chambertin, Romanée-Conti, Clos de Vougeot, Montrachet, Corton, Musigny... Set off to discover the Côtes de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits, in the heart of a wine-growing landscape shaped by man, combining extreme refinement with exceptional architectural monuments, such as the Hospices de Beaune, the Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne in Dijon or the Château du Clos de Vougeot... This ensemble richly deserves its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Our cycle tours will also take you through the hinterland, along charming country roads and greenways, such as the Canal du Centre linking the Saône and Loire valleys, or the Canal de Bourgogne, linking the Yonne to the Saône in the Ouche valley. You'll have the chance to discover, among other places, the town of Nolay, situated at the gateway to the Morvan. This typical Hautes-Côtes de Beaune village, nestling in a picturesque valley between vineyards and cliffs, has preserved its medieval architecture and remarkable covered market, bearing witness to a long trading tradition. Further north, the village of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, perched on its rocky outcrop, offers one of the finest views in the region thanks to its medieval village and imposing fortress.
