Belgian by birth and Burgundian by adoption, Patricia and her son Benjamin welcome you to an authentic and exceptional "bourgeois" residence dating from 1610, a remarkable and iconic Burgundian building steeped in history and listed as a Historic Monument (former Protestant temple), perfectly restored according to traditional methods, nestled in the very heart of the village. A picturesque and well-preserved medieval and wine-growing village, brimming with charm (awarded the "Green Holiday Resort" label), located on the ancient Roman road Agrippa, Couches offers an exceptional heritage (including the sumptuous castle of the Queen of France, Marguerite of Burgundy, dating from the 13th century), numerous amenities, and enjoys a magnificent landscaped setting, nestled in the heart of the unspoiled wine country in a bucolic valley blending vineyard slopes, hedged meadows, and beautiful wild forests (a protected area designated as a ZNIEFF). A very comfortable room with an unusual architectural style (accessible via a superb historic spiral staircase) adjoining a small sitting area located in one of the building's towers, in the spirit of a "mini-suite." Elegant contemporary style enhanced by the truly unique character of the place (impressive original timber frame and stone lintels). A cozy atmosphere combining tradition and modernity. A vast 4000m² flower-filled park with century-old trees and a fruit orchard, nestled on the hillside behind the house, an intimate green haven offering beautiful views of the Couchois vineyards and the village.
Composition: The property also includes a self-contained gîte (holiday cottage). Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Gas central heating. Mini-suite on the 2nd floor with independent access (double bed 160x200cm) with an open-plan shower room, separate WC, and sitting area. Park (4000m²) with terrace. Breakfast served in a gallery-style living area or on the terrace when the weather is nice. Garage (3 spaces) + bicycle storage + shared lounge with foosball table (vaulted cellars). Shops, restaurants & small supermarket on site.
