A charming, authentic 19th-century country house, fully and carefully restored, located in the heart of the Morvan Natural Park in a peaceful, typical Morvan village with shops, nestled on the south-east side of the famous Mont-Beuvray, an exceptional viewpoint reaching 821m offering extraordinary views (as far as Mont Blanc!), occupied at its summit by the renowned "oppidum" of Bibracte, an ancient fortified Gallic town, one of the best preserved with its ramparts and districts extending over 200 ha (awarded the prestigious "Grand Site de France" label). Perched on a hillside overlooking a bucolic hedged valley, at the edge of the forest, in the heart of a remarkable protected site classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" (for its rich ecosystem), not far from Haut Folin, the highest point in Burgundy (901m), the village boasts a preserved rural and natural setting in gently rolling mountains, offering utter tranquility and sublime panoramas and landscapes (to be explored on foot, by bike, or mountain bike / direct access from the gîte). The gîte is comfortable, spacious, and bright, with a warm country charm and contemporary touches. A large, intimate terrace (shaded and/or sunny) nestles at the rear of the house, opening onto a large gravel courtyard, perfect for a "natural" pétanque court. Beautiful, unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside are just steps from the gîte.
