I live in Le Breuil and retired in 2002 from Arcelor Mittal, where I was a manager at the Creusot sheet metal works. When I retired, I looked for an activity that would give me pleasure and creativity. Watercolour painting, in its various forms, quickly appealed to me. As a member of the Société Creusotine des Beaux-Arts since 2002, I began my training as a watercolourist with François Moog de Fragny for 3 years. I then continued my apprenticeship for twelve years with watercolourist Roland Genieux, from Givry. Over the years, I also took part in a number of highly rewarding courses with Cao Bei, Didier Georges, Thierry de Marichalar, David Chauvin and Gilles Coutal. These different experiences have enabled me to gradually build up my own style in watercolour. I paint mainly from my own photographs or from images that I interpret freely. My favourite themes are nature in general: water, the sea and trees. I work on fine-grain 300gsm Arches paper and use pigments in tubes.
