Nine songs from Burgundy's oral heritage that connect the trio to its roots. Nine wordless tales revisited like jazz standards, with the collective part of human memory, with the desire to invent what has been lost in the meantime, with what can be salvaged from what remains.
With this second opus, the trio renews its attachment to popular music and continues to polish its sound prism: the universality that nestles in music inherited from the past. As if, beyond their geographical origins, all ancient forms of music - their function, their timbre, their organisation - were above all connected by tellurism.
Whether these forms were born in the lands where we know the polka, the gigue and the rigodon, in the lands of Africa, Réunion and now the French hexagon. These three musicians, craftsmen of sound, are now inventing their own Folk Songs, songs without songs where melancholy always ends up giving way to dance, whether frenetic or elegant.
