Where to park in Autun?

 

With its lush green landscapes and peaceful roads, the Grand Autunois Morvan region is the ideal place to stroll and explore. There are numerous car parks throughout the region where you can stop, rest or explore the surrounding area.

More than 2,000 spaces are available, with free access or blue zone parking in the heart of Autun.

Blue zone parking

To facilitate the rotation of available spaces, blue zones have been established in the town centre:

– ‘De la Poste’ car park
– Top of Avenue Charles de Gaulle
– Rue de l’Arbalète
– Rue de Lattre de Tassigny
– Rue Guérin

Parking is free, limited to 2 hours.
It is regulated by blue parking discs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., except on Sundays and public holidays.

 

Paid parking

– Place du Champ de Mars, on the Bonaparte secondary school side.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., except on Sundays and public holidays.
First 30 minutes free, then variable pricing depending on duration.
Monthly subscription available.

 

The new generation of parking meters allows you to:

Avoid returning to your vehicle to place a ticket on the dashboard,
Pay by bank card,
Extend your current ticket from any parking meter in the square,
Take out a monthly subscription.

 

How does it work?

Press a key on the keypad to activate the parking meter if it is in standby mode and follow the instructions.

Step 1: Press 1 ‘pay for my parking’ or press 2 ‘take out a subscription’.
Step 2: Enter your registration number.
Step 3: Confirm with the green button and proceed to payment.

Autun offers two apps to make parking easier: Flowbird and Pay by Phone.

Wherever you are, you can extend or interrupt your parking time remotely!
