Opéra "Pygmalion" de Jean-philippe Rameau

Pygmalion is without doubt Jean-Philippe Rameau's little masterpiece. In a single act, the famous story of the sculptor who falls in love with his work provides the pretext for building an extraordinarily evocative world of sound. The statues come to life, love shoots its arrows and the sculptor's chisel strokes punctuate the overture! The formidable Cyril Auvity takes on the role of Pygmalion, a fetish of the hautescontre. He is accompanied by the brilliant musicians of the Masques ensemble, who will perform the orchestral suite from Hippolyte & Aricie as a prelude.
