Les Gites du Renard Souriant - Le balcon sur le jardin

The gite is nestled in the hollow of the village (le Crot in Morvandiau) with an uninterrupted view over the garden, a large orchard and the small massifs of the Lucheron and Haut-Siron on the horizon.
In a quiet, south-facing location, the gite's two flats are very bright. They open onto a courtyard planted with trees and flowers, with areas set aside for relaxing in the sun or shade. Cussy is ideally situated for enjoying the Morvan Regional Park at any time of year.
Hiking, horse-riding and mountain bike trails pass right in front of the house. The lakes and sites to visit are all very close, accessible on foot, by bike, or less than 40 minutes by car.
We live on site and are happy to advise you on walks, hikes or activities in the area.

The accommodation includes a living room, a bedroom, WC and bathroom (washbasin and shower, towel dryer, hairdryer), storage space for clothes with hangers, a cot with draw sheet and undersheet (bring a sleeping bag), a very good quality wifi connection including in the garden, a TV with Orange services, crockery, kitchen utensils, cooking equipment (oven dishes, food processor...), raclette appliance, hot water bottle....), raclette machine, kettle, toaster, teapot, coffee maker, electric cooker and induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, a small bin for vegetable waste that we use for composting, waste separation bins that we take care of.

The tap water is spring water collected from the woods in the village, which is drinkable and very good.
If you wish, we can supply you with sparkling water produced from this water. There is no need to buy bottled water.

Included in the rental price sheets, duvets, towels, tea towels and sponges, soap and washing-up liquid and ecological cleaning products, use of the dishwasher and ecological cleaning tablets, use of the washing machine (shared between the two flats) and ecological washing powder (there are no tumble dryers available, only dryers), heating, parking, barn for bicycles, workshop, access to the electric car charging point, cable available, the amount of the charge is calculated without any commercial margin, full cleaning (beds, household linen, crockery...) guaranteeing you an impeccable state of repair.) guaranteeing that the gite is in perfect condition on your arrival, and the rubbish bins and compost bucket are taken out.
You have access to the garden, which is shared between the two flats, but areas are reserved for you with deckchairs, garden tables and chairs.

There is no coffee, tea or herbal tea service, no breakfast or meal service, and no hiking equipment.

Nearby shops and amenities: small grocery shop in the village, bakery, grocery shop, butcher's shop, delicatessen, in Anost (5 minutes by car), grocery shop, café, PMU, in Chissey (10 minutes by car), BIOCOOP shop, supermarkets (Intermarché, Lidl, Leclerc) in Autun (20 minutes by car), petrol station in Autun, ATM in Anost (5 minutes by car).

Ecology: ecological restoration site, use of ecological materials, in particular wood wool for insulation, ecological paints, re-use of existing materials on site, recovery of rainwater for the toilets and garden, wood-fired heating with a latest-generation boiler, underfloor heating, maintenance of the garden without insecticides or pesticides, household linen in ecological cotton, made in France, ecological household products and soap available, dishwasher to avoid wasting water.

Miscellaneous: the two flats can be rented together and have an internal passageway, giving you the benefit of two bedrooms, a living room and a separate kitchen-dining room.

Le Crot is a hamlet (huis in Morvandiau) made up of three houses that share a courtyard. For obvious reasons of noise and convenience, we cannot accommodate pets, motorbikes or quad bikes.

Parties and receptions by people other than the tenants themselves are not permitted.
