  • Plastic arts workshop for children, young people and adults: Learn to look, express yourself and develop your creativity.

  • This rural workshop, created by the Spire Création association, has just celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Originally set up in Ligny en Brionnais, in the south of Saône-et-Loire between Marcigny and Charlieu, the association welcomed its students and trainees in a renovated stable with whitewashed walls. Some people came from as far as Gueugnon, Mâcon, Roanne, Paray le Monial and Marcigny to take part in the sessions and courses.

This rural workshop, created by the Spire Création association, has just celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Today, our Atelier Rural is based at the Pont d'Argent site in Saint-Emiland, with the same objective: to awaken the creative potential that lies dormant in everyone, to develop training in the visual arts, to contribute to leisure activities and to encourage inter-generational relations. Indeed, what could be happier than to see people over 75 meeting young people or children! There's something for everyone, and the exchanges are enriching! Our students and trainees currently come from Beaune, Lyon, Montceau, Pouilloux, Montbard, Saint-Léger-sous-Beuvray, Saint-Jean-de-Trézy, Mesvres, Couches, St Léger sur Dheune, Auxy and Autun.

Workshops for children aged 5 and over often begin with a story chosen to stimulate the imagination, and then give free rein to free and accompanied expression: drawing, painting with gouache or watercolour, collage, making little books, postcards, masks, etc., depending on what the children want and the time of year.

The Youth and Adult Workshops help develop an understanding of volumes and their transposition, the use of colours and harmonies, the History of Art...
No subject is taboo, and depending on your motivations, the workshop welcomes on its easels : Animals from the countryside or the jungle, boats, landscapes, compositions of objects or floral compositions... Documentary studies of objects found in nature... Live models or Fashion Design, Comics... All techniques can be tackled.
All techniques can be approached: Gouache, Charcoal, Sanguine, Pastel, Acrylic, Watercolour, Mixed media...

The Saturday workshops, the new Monday workshops and the courses take place in a friendly, temperate setting! A large flower-filled garden is available for breaks.
Micheyle MARLIER takes great pleasure in working with each trainee to ensure the success of their individual and/or group project.

Micheyle MARLIER is a Visual Arts teacher, Educational and Popular Education Project Leader and Storyteller. She is a fashion designer (her childhood dream) and a professional trainer for young people and adults. As part of the Ateliers Spire Création programme, she has worked on a number of artistic projects with associations, including the Foyers Ruraux du 71 and associations in the Brionnais and Autunois areas. She has worked in collaboration with teachers in the national education system and the private sector on creative projects for children aged 3 to 12.
She has exhibited with the Artistes Français at the Grand Palais and in galleries in Paris and the provinces, and has won numerous awards. She no longer exhibits at present, preferring to devote herself to her pupils, as well as to her work as a studio artist and portrait painter, which she particularly enjoys.
