Guadeloupean by birth, Burgundian by adoption, literally passionately in love with her land for more than 40 years, Laure welcomes you to an elegant 1860 mansion carefully restored & steeped in history ("master's house" formerly linked to a large "bourgeois" farm of which the outbuildings remain). Total tranquility in the middle of the Morvandelle countryside, perched on the edge of meadows facing a small pond on a bucolic open and well-exposed bocage plateau, on the borders of a peaceful little rural hamlet overlooking the village of Curgy (classified Romanesque church from the 11th century), 10 km from the majestic Château de Sully (16th century / listed MH), one of the most beautiful French private castles open to the public, birthplace of Mac Mahon, President of the French Republic. Nestled in the hollow of a verdant bocage valley bordering an immense wild forest massif (set of several vast state forests) & the bucolic valley of the Drée (river full of fish), this small typical village has a soothing unspoiled rural mountain setting gentle hilly. Comfortable rooms nestled under the roof in “cocoon” mode, combining “bourgeois” country style and a more contemporary spirit. Spacious bathrooms. Lovely living room enhanced by the rich traces of the building (floor tiles, French ceiling, original fireplace mantel). Large exposed & shaded terrace, opening onto a pleasant intimate natural garden with flowers, vegetation & trees (apple, cherry, peach, etc.) nestled on the edge of meadows (not overlooked). Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside.
Layout: Wi-Fi. Gas central heating. Common living room on the ground floor (TV & wood stove). 2 "double" bedrooms + small relaxation lounge shared with guests on the 1st floor (double bed 140x190cm in each) with private shower room (shower/WC). Terrace + garden + bike room + covered carport in common. Private parking. All amenities including restaurants 9 km.
