La Croix de la Libération

Start - Pierre de Couhard car park:
Opposite the church, take the path on the left that runs alongside the river.
Follow it for 1 km to the footbridge, then cross it.

Climb the 100 steps:
Turn left, then 75 m further on follow the yellow and green signs.
Zigzag up the 100 steps to the forest road.
Turn right, then 100 m further on take the path on the left.
Continue for 80 m, then join the path by taking the steps on the left.

Towards Étang des Cloix :
After 600 m, turn right.
Go downhill, cross the road and take the track opposite.
After 100 m, take the track on the left.
After 1 km, turn right onto the road.
Follow this road through Étang des Cloix to the entrance to Parc de Montjeu.

Bypass Montjeu Park:
Take the path on the right that runs alongside the park wall for 2.25 km.
When you reach the road, turn left, then 50 m further on take the road on the right as far as the Croix de la Libération.

Descend towards Autun (GR):
Opposite the town, take the path down to the right (red and white GR markings).
After 400 m, turn left.
After 600 m, follow the track to the right.
After 750 m, turn left out of the woods.

Back to Couhard :
Follow the signs to Couhard on the left.
Take the 2nd turning on the left.
200 m further on, at the park gate, follow the signs down Rue du Moulin Gamet.
Continue straight ahead; at the end of the cul-de-sac, take a footpath, then turn right.

Walk up the millstream and back to the car park:
Go up the path and take the track on the left.
Follow it 500 m up the reach.
Cross the road and walk up Rue de la Cascade.
Follow the reach in front of the houses on the left to return to the car park.
