Organ concert by Cheng ZHONG
As part of the European Heritage Days and following on from the guided tours of the organ loft at Saint-Henri church, Orguissimo invites you to a concert given by a young organist from Dijon, Cheng ZHONG, at Saint-Laurent church on the Ott / Marconnet organ.
The programme includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Nicolas de Grigny, Thierry Escaich and Alain Fleury.
Built in 1972 by the organ builder Paul Ott in Neheim (a district of the town of Arnsberg in Germany), the organ was sold to the town of Le Creusot and rebuilt and harmonised by the organ builder Denis Marconnet to suit the acoustics of the church and in the spirit of North German organs. It was inaugurated on 4 and 5 June 2022.
This event will be preceded by guided tours of the organ in the church of Saint-Henri, built by Charles Didier Van Caster in 1903 and featuring a completely different symphonic aesthetic.
