The Chants libres Festival, a national choral singing festival organised by the Fondation Bettencourt Schuller in partnership with the town of Autun, will take place over the weekend of 27-29 June 2025 (free admission).

Chants libres aims to help people discover and enjoy choral singing. For its 5th edition, more than 70 concerts and musical events are on offer in six regions of France, with some of the most prestigious ensembles, amateur choirs and school choirs.

In Autun, the programme is just as ambitious: concerts, musical walks, breakfasts and aperitifs, conferences... These events will be held in various locations in the town of Autun. A host of choirs will be taking part in the event at the end of June: L'Aubade (dir. Jean-Claude Brouillet), Chorustodunum (dir. Véronique Lancien), Divertimento (dir. Véronique Lancien and Vincent Jouanin), La Maîtrise de la Cathédrale d'Autun (dir. Emmanuelle Rivière), La Petite Cantate (dir. Caroll Ravoahangy), the Chorale Reflets (dir. Lydiane Curt-Pitou) and the Têtes de Chien quintet.

Through the Chants libres Festival, the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation is reaffirming more than ever its long-standing commitment to choral singing, a commitment that aims to raise the profile of this art form among an ever-wider audience and also to highlight its benefits: personal development and encounters, a valuable vehicle for social mixing and solidarity.
