Exposition "Métamorphose"

La Maison du Parc is delighted to present "Métamorphose", an exhibition of sculptures by woodcarver Guillaume Fontaine.

Fontaine's artistic career is marked by a deep passion for working with wood, which began around 2000 when he studied cabinet-making and ornamental sculpture. However, it was his introduction to woodturning in 2018 that truly revolutionised his artistic approach and way of working.
Guillaume's works, whether contemporary compositions or trompe-l'œil, testify to a technical mastery and a love for local wood where each piece tells its own story.

In his quest for innovation, Guillaume is constantly seeking to push back the boundaries of woodworking by incorporating material and textural effects and carved ornaments to create unusual pieces. His commitment to pushing the boundaries of his craft is evident in his ongoing exploration of new techniques and his dedication to staying at the forefront of artistic evolution.
