"An eclectic musician, French singer and pianist Matthieu Boré follows in the footsteps of his grandmother, a piano teacher, and his grandfather, composer Théodore Lack. He began playing the instrument at the age of seven.
With a wide range of musical tastes, he led the rock bands Mister Puntila and Shortking before turning to trip-hop with Arsenal in the 1990s. At the dawn of the following decade, he changed his repertoire, performing in the capital's jazz clubs such as Bilboquet and Caveau de la Huchette. Between standards and his own compositions, acclaimed by the critics (see Jazz News portrait), Matthieu Boré has charted an original course in France and abroad, with nine albums, some of which can be heard on Jazz Radio, TSF Jazz, FIP and Radio Swiss Jazz.
