The Ensemble Vocal Alkémia, from Le Havre, has been sharing its passion for singing since 2007. Under the direction of Thérèse Louvet, its voices are heard in the major heritage sites of Normandy and beyond during its summer tours (Mont Saint-Michel, Paris, Brittany, Anjou, Vendée, Occitanie, Belgium, Luxembourg, etc.). He regularly performs at festivals in Normandy.
Its repertoire ranges from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries, and includes a large amount of a cappella singing, mainly sacred, as well as occasional works with instrumental accompaniment (organ, harp, cello, piano and accordion) and soloists (Rossini's Petite messe solennelle).
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, in 2018 the choir recorded its 1st 'Magnificat' CD (Magnificat by Pachelbel and Arvo Pärt, works by Tallis, Michaël Haydn, Benjamin Britten, etc.).
