Brandon

Château de Brandon

Built on a Gallo-Roman camp, it is a model of military construction: a high court and closed outer bailey and a 12th century rampart walk. The main building and the wing was changed into a residence in the 17th century. This castle is inhabited all year-round and offers a beautiful panorama of the surrounding countryside.

Château de Couches known as "Marguerite de Bourgogne"

The dungeon (12th century), the round towers (13th century), the ramparts (13th century) recalls that this castle was one of the most important strongholds in the region. The gothic chapel and the residential pavilion to the glazed tiles complete this.

Saint-Léger-sous-Beuvray

The archaeological site of Bibracte

At the top of Mount Beuvray, a large gallic city was built. Surrounded by ramparts, Bibracte was the capital of one of the most powerful people of Gaul, the "Eduens".

The site is accessible all year.

The guided tours in French are available from 3/15 to 6/30 and from 9/15 to 11/16 on Sunday, bank holidays and public holidays at 2.30pm. From July to August, the tours are available every day at 11am, 2pm, 3pm and 4.15pm. From 9/1 to 9/14, the tours are available every day at 2.30pm.
Guided tours in NL, every day at 1.30pm, in GB on Monday at 3.30pm and in D, on Thursday at 3.30pm.

Full price: 12€; reduced price: 10€. This rate includes the free access and visit of the museum.

Curgy

Château de Savigny-le-Vieux

Visit the dungeon of the castle that dates back to the mid-14th century. The interior and the exterior with traces of the fortifications and ramparts are shown here. It is listed in the Inventory of Historical Monuments.

Sully

Château de Sully

This is one of the most beautiful castles in Burgundy. It was originally a medieval fortress surrounded by moats. This castle is fully furnished and has an exceptional square Renaissance courtyard. It's the birthplace of Marshal Mac-Mahon, former President of the Republic. You may also wander freely through the castle's romantic park (18th - 19th century.)

La Boulaye

The Buddhist Temple

The temple was founded in 1974, by a Tibetan lama. It offers visitors a group of Himalayan style monuments and buildings in a pleasant park, decorated with colourful banners. The temple, built on three levels, has gigantic Buddha statues, many fabric paintings, frescoes and richly coloured friezes.

Morlet

Morlet Castle

Located between Beaune and Autun, at the border between Côte d'Or and Saône-et-Loire, Castle of Morlet is relatively unknown today. The different buildings that compose it are nevertheless of interest quite remarkable. The entire park and castle are registered as historical monuments.

It a castle from the XIII century.
