A journey from the 20th century to the present day, through the eyes of these past and present heroines, based on testimonies collected from women farmers. Having come to give a lecture on the life of women in agriculture from the 20th century to the present day, Cécile drifts off and seeks answers to her questions in the lives of women farmers. Through a white tablecloth passed down from mother to daughter, Cécile discovers the lives of the women farmers in her family. Born from meetings between the company and the residents of the EHPAD of Guémené-Penfao, from testimonies collected from retired and active women farmers working in dairy production, and from two published life stories (La Nappe blanche by Françoise Legendre, and La Masure de ma mère by Jeanine Ogor and Jean Rohou), Héroïnes questions the place of women in the agricultural sector in this period of crisis. Sometimes discreet and very often hidden, her essential role is rarely recognised despite a century of transformations in our agricultural world. Between theatre, photo manipulation and paper sculptures, Anne-Cécile Richard and Antoine Malfettes create a touching and sincere one-man show.
