Conference organised as part of the Fête de la Science, in partnership with the Académie François Bourdon and Sciences en Lumière (CNRS).
The discussion between humans and machines is deepening thanks to automatic language processing. Claire Gardent is an internationally recognised specialist in this field, and was awarded the CNRS silver medal in 2022. Knowing how to communicate with machines, translate texts, generate texts, simplify texts... So many challenges to take up. Before presenting what this discipline covers and its implications for our everyday lives, Claire Gardent will give an overview of the history of artificial intelligence and the concepts behind it.
and the concepts it covers.
The lecture is free and open to all.
The conference will be preceded by a talk to lycée Léon Blum students in Le Creusot in the afternoon.
