La Chambre Symphonique - the romantic crossing!

La Chambre Symphonique, a young orchestra from Lyon and Burgundy, has made us accustomed to great symphonic works. This autumn, it will be taking on a pillar of the genre: Antonin Dvorak's New World Symphony, a journey from Prague to New York at the end of the 19th century, where the newly settled Dvorak gave the musical world one of the most beautiful orchestral works, epic and sentimental, which still inspires today's composers.
In the first half, the orchestra will perform Brahms's Tragic Overture and Smetana's Moldau, two European Romantic works that illustrate Dvorak's roots and whose poetry will delight young and old alike.

Created in 2018 under the impetus of its conductor, Loïc EMMELIN, who is still at the helm, La Chambre Symphonique continues to offer emotionally rich programmes. Thinking of sound as sharing, this orchestra has a contagious good humour! After studying with Philippe Cambreling at the conservatoire in Chalon-sur-Saône, its conductor went on to perfect his skills in Paris at the Frédéric Chopin conservatoire, and has occasionally worked as an assistant conductor in contemporary music, most recently with the Orchestre National de Cannes. Renowned for his fiery spirit and quest for original orchestral colours, we look forward to seeing La Chambre Symphonique again. After Mahler and Ravel, it was time to embark on this mythical symphony!
