Atelier : De fil en aiguille

Inspired by the magnificent hanging of the life of the Virgin in the collegiate church of Notre-Dame, a "De fil en aiguille" workshop introduces you to the art of modern embroidery!

A presentation by guide Véronique Mangold unveils the repertoire of this tapestry of a thousand flowers and reveals the surprising meanings of the floral motifs.

The workshop section invites you to embroider a fabric of your own that you've brought with you (T-shirt, blouse, scarf, tea towel, etc.), while discovering different embroidery stitches.

This workshop is open to children and adults alike. A variation of the workshop is reserved for 6-9 year olds, who can do what grown-ups do... with embroidery cards and a plastic needle.
