A leading figure of the 1920s, she burnt her life at both ends, fighting against a husband who, in the spotlight, made her his muse and who, in the shadows, monopolised the literary material in her diaries... She danced until she was injured, experienced fame, scandalous parties in New York and Paris, and then fell into decline. She died at the age of 48 in a fire in the psychiatric hospital where she had become a regular.
Director Guillaume Barbot, supported by exceptional performers, presents a unique, modern and complex voice, set to swing music, creating a tense, carnal and captivating atmosphere, just like his heroine Zelda Fitzgerald.
Text by Gilles Leroy, adapted and directed by Guillaume Barbot, with Lola Naymark and musician-actors Pierre-Marie Braye-Weppe, Louis Caratini, Thibault Perriard, collective musical creation, directed by Pierre-Marie Braye-Weppe, collaboration on the adaptation by Agathe Peyrard, set design and photography by Benjamin Lebreton, lighting by Nicolas Faucheux, sound by Nicolas Barillot, choreography by Bastien Lefèvre, costumes by Benjamin Moreau, assistant by Stéphane Temkine.
