Go back in time to when the sea covered Burgundy and discover the origins and mysteries of fossils with this activity...

You will start with a guided tour of the fossil hut, of which many specimens are found in the soil of the vineyards, and learn what a fossil is, how it is created, what the animal looked like before it became a fossil...

You will then have to create an imaginary creature, made up of several known animals, like a bestiary, by looking at the fossils and imagining what the past creature might have looked like.

The children will leave with a drawing of their imaginary creature and a fossil cast.
